AI vs the Arts | Layla Rowlands | TEDxJCG Youth

Layla's talk is a warning against allowing AI to replace human creativity, highlighting the risks of overuse while urging people to protect space for genuine artist expression. I am a teenager from Glasgow who has recently moved to the Channel Islands. My love for research and public speaking led me to this opportunity, where I was able to take advantage of full creative freedom in my script. I chose AI vs the Arts, as the topic of humanity and morality remaining constant and just in a world of fast-moving technology is deeply important to me, and I think a very prevalent way we as society express not only our individuality but also our creativity by brilliant minds worldwide, is through the medium of art, whether that be music, film, painting, or literature. I hope to spread the message that the true human connection made through art is not replaceable my a machine.
