Syed Almas Kabir challenges us to look beyond automation and see AI as a powerful partner in human progres - amplifying creativity, expanding opportunity, and transforming how we work, learn, and build the future. Syed Almas Kabir is an entrepreneur, technology leader, and ICT industry advocate with more than three decades of experience in Bangladesh’s technology sector. He is the Managing Director and CEO of MetroNet Bangladesh Limited, where he has played a key role in expanding the company’s nationwide data-communication and IT services. A former President of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Kabir has also contributed to technology policy, industry development, and entrepreneurship through leadership roles in organizations including FBCCI and the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He studied Electrical Engineering at Jadavpur University and earned his master’s degree from New York University. Before entering the corporate world, he spent more than a decade in academia, teaching and holding administrative positions at universities in Bangladesh.
