Who Is Responsible When AI Decides? | Dr. Choudhury Abul Anam Rashed Anam Rashed | TEDxSUST
Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly capable of seeing, predicting, analyzing, and making decisions. But as machines become smarter, a fundamental question remains: **who takes responsibility when AI gets it wrong?** In this thought-provoking talk, **Dr. Choudhury Abul Anam Rashed** takes us inside the world of AI Engineering, exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the way engineers solve problems and manage complex systems. From machine vision and natural language processing to demand forecasting and expert systems, AI is opening new possibilities across engineering and industry. Yet, beneath this technological progress lies a critical human question: **Can intelligence exist without accountability?** Dr. Rashed explores the limits of AI and why, for now, human judgment and responsibility remain essential to building a future we can trust. **Dr. Choudhury Abul Anam Rashed** is a Professor in the Department of Industrial & Production Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). With academic and professional expertise spanning manufacturing, technology management, and supply chain systems, he has dedicated his career to advancing engineering education, research, and innovation. His work explores how technology and emerging ideas can transform industries and create new opportunities for the next generation. In his TEDx talk, he shares insights on **agriculture, artificial intelligence, employment, and the future of young professionals**, encouraging young people to look beyond traditional career paths and recognize the opportunities created by technological and economic transformation. Through his teaching, research, and mentorship, Dr. Rashed continues to inspire students and young professionals to think critically, embrace change, and build meaningful careers in a rapidly evolving world.
